QUESTBOARD

Gelfling Grannies
A group of old granny gelflings have posted on the quest board asking for help with various chores at home. Some may need lightbulbs changed by tall, dashing Dreamers, or their floors swept, groceries delivered, feet rubbed-- Yeah, they ask for a lot - and are they flirting with you? The grannies are persistent and their list of demands never seems to end. The rewards are mostly the pride of doing a good deed, but the grannies also offer fresh-baked cookies and a small amount of cords.
Goat on the Loose
Danger! There's a rogue goat on the loose in Somnius! Locals have gone all the way to the Stellari quest board to ask for help. Why? Because this goat isn't someone's lost pet - it's a terror to society, headbutting goblins wherever it goes, driving people up on roofs, eating everything in sight. Dreamers are asked to help catch the goat for a farmer that has offered to take it in. The goat must not be killed! In fact, curiously, it seems quite impossible to kill, somehow. Rewards for this quest include a middling amount of cords and free goat cheese for life.
Trusted Transportation
Officials from Stellari have been working hard on creating a successful public transportation system between the two lands - and it's finally in its testing stages! This quest is simple: ride thebuscart. Dreamers are asked to ride in a large cart along the various routes, stopping at every stop and collecting a stamp to prove they did their due diligence. The object is to collect feedback on the stops and their convenience/relevance as the public transportation system is perfected. The ride is long - hours long, in fact, quickly eating Dreamers' entire day. What's more, the cart driver won't stop yapping no matter how many people ask him to shut up (this starts happening at about hour three). If Dreamers manage to complete the whole route without jumping off the cart, they'll be rewarded with free public transit passes and a small amount of cords.
Perfect Puppeteering
A local goblin is asking for two Dreamers to help put on a puppet show at the local library! They'll be given two marionettes to manipulate behind a red curtain. Doesn't it take years of expertise to be able to manipulate a puppet like that? It sure does! But beggars can't be choosers, and if they could, they'd choose you. Keep in mind that the audience is made of harsh critics who will readily ridicule the performance, chanting, "Boooo!" Only Dreamers with thick skin are able to complete this quest. Rewards include a small amount of cords and a puppet that looks just like you?
Door-to-Door Torch Sales
Torch sales boomed during the blackout! Basically everyone in town was dying to get one! That's why the locals started hiring pairs of door-to-door torch salespeople to help move their product. It starts out great! Sales are easy and everyone is desperate for a torch. Naturally, this leads to an increased production of torches, and...then a surplus. Once the backout ends, everyone is ditching their extra torches. Dreamers hired to sell torches find it difficult to get anyone to buy one at all, though the torch-makers become more and more demanding, desperate to fill their quotas. Dreamers who manage to sell twenty torches are rewarded with a middling amount of cords, and all the materials they need to start their very own door-to-door torch business!
Volunteering at the Clinic
The Light & Whole Clinic in Stellari is looking for (paid) volunteers. Help is needed with all manner of tasks, such as cooking, changing bedsheets, reapplying bandages, and even some light surgery when staff coverage is running thin. Don't worry! It's easier than it looks. Those who are squeamish may find the job difficult, what with all the blood, and the patients can be hard to connect with, some afraid, some cranky, some losing their lunch. It's a hard job, but somebody has to do it, and that somebody might just be you! Rewards for this quest include a middling amount of cords, improved social standing in Stellari, and a medium-strength healing potion.
Ice-Fishing Competition
Lake Termina has frozen over again! Locals are holding an ice-fishing competition. Dreamers are recruited pick a hole in the ice and start fishing! Although, they will have to drill the hole themselves. The ice is thick - feet thick, and deceptively difficult to penetrate. Dreamers are given icepicks and hammers, but not much else (if you didn't bring your own fishing gear, it's a stick with a string for you). Winners of the competition are promised a handsome reward, though - a massive amount of cords. Those who participate, but do not manage to catch a winning fish, are given a consolation prize of a better fishing rod.
Lantern Repairs
Over the last month or so, there's been a massive increase in lantern use. Stellari and Somnius had both gotten used to the magical electricity that powered their home, but now they're feeling anxious to rely on such modern comforts. An increase in lantern use leads to an increase in lantern breakage, and so, Dreamers are hired to help repair these gas lanterns. It's dangerous work. Use too much fluid, and you'll start a fire. Use a broken lantern before it's ready, and you'll start a fire. Blow the lantern up, and you'll start a fire. And fires do start! It seems they start a little too easily even. Dreamers will complete this quest with (hopefully) minimal burns and a reward of a middling amount of cords and a safer alternative to gas lanterns that is powered by the sun.
Shepherds Through the Dark
As of late, the dark has brought unique dangers to both Visium and Lumindeas. Dreamers are recruited to help keep the shadows at bay as people pass through both lands. They're given large lanterns to lead with, and are only sent out in groups, locals warning about the dangers of getting lost. Hallucinations torture the party, every shadow threatening to swallow them up. Dreamers must remain vigilant. They may be hired to help with the transport of items, to escort prominent members of the community, or may merely be asked to wander both lands in search of anyone that needs help. Dreamers who complete this quest will receive a large amount of cords, improved social standing in both Somnius and Stellari, and a magical lantern that's light cannot be extinguished. Even after the blackouts end, many remain nervous to travel alone at night. These services will continue being requested for the next couple of months.
Keeping the Shrine Clean
Now that the shrine at the top of the Air Cliffs has been cleansed, Dreamers must continue to keep it clean. They're hired in groups every couple of weeks to travel back to the Air Cliffs, facing the many foes that come, and continue tending to the shrine. Offerings seem to keep the shrine cleansed for longer periods of time, though nothing is stopping a Dreamer from taking what they find there, except for some bad luck. It's recommended that the gifts given hold some value to the Dreamer. Aside from that, there are no guidelines. Dreamers who complete this quest will be given a large amount of cords and a special stone that is said to bring good fortune. Social standing in Stellari will increase if this quest is completed, but if Dreamers steal from the shrine, they will be shunned.
Lost Item
A mysterious quest posting appears on the board about a lost item in Visium's labyrinth. During the chaos at the castle, something of great value was dropped - the owner's gold Uweh bracelet. Dreamers are asked to navigate the Labyrinth and find the lost bracelet, offering a reward of a large amount of cords sleeping aid potion that's said to cure insomnia. The Labyrinth, as ever, is made of endless twists and turns, walls shifting around right in front of Dreamers' faces as they walk. They may fall into trap doors and have to crawl their way out, or may find themselves stumbling into passages hidden in the walls. If the Dreamers manage to find the lost bracelet, they will have a choice as to whether or not to return it. If they choose to keep the bracelet, wearing it will cause temporary amnesia until they take it off. If they return the bracelet in exchange for the reward, they will find that the sleeping potion works, but will make you dream the same impactful memory every night.
Surveying the Castle
Now that the castle has been re-opened, officials from Seravo's court wish to see the state of his brother's old dwellings. Dreamers with various abilities are asked to escort them through the abandoned castle - those who can heal, those who can fight, those who can protect. Dreamers are kept on a tight leash, however, and aren't allowed to explore on their own. They must safely escort these officials through each chamber. They will occasionally be asked questions about the recent exploration, particularly the throne room with its scepter, though all will find that, still, it can't be removed. Enemies still remain, though the officials will get testy if Dreamers kill without trying to disarm first. There are no conclusions spoken by the officials to the Dreamers in company, and they are dismissed once the officials are escorted back to the Visium portal. Dreamers who complete this quest will be given a reward of a massive amount of cords, but nothing else of note.
Cords are the currency of Lumindeas. These amounts are handwaved and will not be tracked, as these quests are meant to facilitate interaction and the rewards are meant to be fun rather than a separate reward system.
Regains are still only earned through shards that are further earned by Activity. Quest logs and threads can be turned in for shards in addition to earning the allotted cords or other rewards.
When completing quests, use your best judgement and try not to ask too many probing or nitpicky questions. This is not something we plan on micromanaging!
