Hey mods, I've got a question specifically around the "special request of Vaeros" part of the wish/rewards option. To hopefully explain it without this turning into an entire essay, I'm debating having Eilonwy request a sheet music book filled with music that Vaeros knows or remembers. How would this work? My concerns and other questions are:
1. The mechanics of the wish. She's not requesting a magical item, just a book of music that Vaeros knows/remembers translated to staff paper. Since Eilonwy would be requesting the specific item ("a filled in book") from Vaeros himself, she'd need to spend those shards to make it happen. (VS like just requesting a regular book of sheet music and getting whatever could be found in [the game itself]).
2. Is phrasing important for this whole idea? If she requests "A book of songs that [Vaeros remembers or knows]", would that actually get her something that he personally knows, or would there be like "the spirit vs the letter" rules at work here? (IE, Vaeros gives her a book of songs that he knows, but none of them are ones he's actually performed or heard himself. or, Eilonwy's request of "a filled in book" is just filled with illegible words/drawings vs "a book with sheet music that can be played and performed").
3. Timing! With the 2 month event coming up would it be better if I hold off on this? (I'm fine with whatever is the easiest! This was a very spur of the moment idea on my part here).
So the whole idea of the special requests is that they're very freeform/open-ended, but are also not guaranteed.
1: An item would be part of the wish, no extra shards required
2: Phrasing could be relevant, but Vaeros isn't bound into some sort of contract regarding the granting of these extra requests; you're not gonna rules-lawyer him into agreeing to something if he doesn't want to be cooperative.
3: Requests are still open! That said, we've also been considering the idea of doubling the special request cost to 1000 shards, since the current pricing is the only holdover from the original pricing scheme before everything was doubled.
