Wanted to make sure of something but I'm assuming jet packs would be considered in th 100 shard category? The jetpack itself could only boost the user's jump a bit and, in the case they were already mid air after jumping out of a plane, guide the person's fall and soften the fall a bit.
Also something entirely specific but would these be considered regainable? They're drones that act as light shows through hologram projection but also as a shield and kind of a glider when they're connected to one another.
So, The Tardis, is infinite on the inside. Of course, her time travel will be nerfed. The mods call if she can still materialize around in 'the bubble' (gamespace). If yes, public places only, and would ask, of course, permission for homes.
That all said, would The Tardis fall under 500 shards or 800 shards?
Edit: and would that include the key to open The Tardis?
So there is an app in Arcade spirits canon called IRIS who is an AI life coach that manages dating sim interfaces IC by measuring voice tones and such. She also can make a map of the nearby area using echolocation and display on screen along with people / happenings nearby. Zapper doesn't use it in canon but is aware of it and it's something anyone can get via piracy. Would this be regainable, how useful would it be in the Labyrinth and how many shards would it cost?
and minor question would an arcade cabinet count as basic tech? It is a lot bigger than a laptop or smartphone but the function is about the same so
if my weapon has a secondary use (example being, he has a pair of escrima sticks that double as grappling hooks also) (they also do a few other things but i think he can just upgrade them if necessary...) what would that fall under? would i pay out the shards for both weapon AND lightweight transportation?
also does he get both. or is it just one escrima stick each time. this is incredibly funny to me so i am happy with it also.
Yuji’s cursed energy is because of him being Sukuna’s vessel - going hand in hand with poison resistance as part of him sharing his body! Would getting his Sukuna based cursed energy back as ‘one power’ be 150 or 400 points, as getting his energy back would give him almost all his other ‘abilities’ back, eg his black flash and divergent fist? Or would you prefer it all to be separate, eg one purchase would be cursed energy, another one being poison resistance, etc?
Also, would purchasing his powers make it so little eyes/mouths from Sukuna could appear despite him not sharing a body/mind with him any more?
I'm thinking of asking for a single-use casting of Find Familiar to get Elias a... service bird, basically. Not his canon familiar, but an animal native to this plane or the labyrinth or Vaeros RNGs him a fancy pigeon, idk.
The key thing is just that 1) intelligent enough to understand commands (e.g. to deliver mail or caw when it spots danger) 2) toilet trained. To save on shards I'm willing to cut out all the magical aspects of Find Familiar's familiar (e.g. summoning/resummoning, telepathy) though I don't know if that makes a difference if the origin of the animal is still magical.
What would the price be on that? (I'm guessing 150 or 100?)
helloooooooooooooooooooo...... moooooooooooooooooods...... nya
re: subject line, are we allowed to submit multiple instances of interaction with the same character from a single thread? the example here would be two characters interacting on both each others' tdm top-levels.
additionally, are we allowed to submit every thread that starts from our top-levels? it seems as such, but i just want to get the final okay so i'm not causing any problems later. thank you!
Arrakis's magic is complicated and I'm unsure how much it would cost to regain it.
All of his magical abilities are tied to the magical being that he is, even his air magic, which allows him to shape his magic into wind. Arrakis has to balance how much magic he builds up in his body so he can't regain his mage abilities without his air magic. Since all of his powers are connected, would it count as a 150 shard special ability? Or would it cost 400 shards for him to regain everything?
I could nerf his air magic and make it so he has to slowly adjust to his magic again like when he first became a mage if you prefer that? I could make his full strength air magic with his magical defense mechanism where he turns into a tiny gryphon when his magic gets too low another 150 shard reward, or two separate rewards depending on what you think is fair.
hello! just wondering how you guys would price a certain regain-- specifically an item used as a magic wand. it's a standard-sized rain umbrella with a piece of ore embedded into it for lumen to channel his energy through to become magic, and it has no uses outside of that and acting like a normal umbrella. how many shards would this cost?
Can characters wish for a single thing together, and contribute their shards toward that reward? Example: two characters want a mansion. Can they both contribute shards toward this reward?
Hi, mod-chans. Just some questions so I can plan out my regain path going forward.
Tsuru isn't human. He's a sword spirit. His sword is his true form and he's connected to it. Since he isn't human, he also has some generic/vague "stronger than a human" ability going on.
I was thinking of breaking down his regains like this and I'd like to see what you guys think before I move forward,
1. His sword. It's basically an ordinary sword unless we're counting anime physics/durability as a power. I think this will just count as 50 shards. 2. Sword spirit status. IDK what to call this but basically it's just the things that define him as a sword spirit and separates him from being an ordinary human. Canon is vague but a basic breakdown is,
☆ spiritually connected to his sword. when it's damaged, he's physically hurt. if it breaks, he dies. if he's seriously weakened, he won't be able to retain his human form anymore and will demanifest so all that's left is his sword. the only thing he can do in this form is speak and he can't even move without being carried by someone. damage received from his sword can't be healed through regular first-aid-- he needs to have his sword repaired but in RP, I've fudged this so magic healing can work within limits. this isn't really a strength/bonus... it's actually an extra vulnerability for him. ☆ increased strength/endurance. basically he can hit harder and you can throw him through a wall and he'll be okay. he can still get his ass beat but he's definitely stronger than a human. ☆ vague spirit/sword sense. kept vague in canon but essentially comes down to "i sense bad vibes" and i guess... the ability... to sense the presence of fire and metal. ☆ sakura fubuki. the ability to summon cherry blossoms when he's in a good mood. that's it. it does nothing. literally just doxxes his emotions. ☆ spirit shenanigans. the ability to become corrupt. all spirits have the ability to become bad spirits. tsuru is one of the few swords in canon to actually corrupt in canon. he gets a color swap, a power boost, and loses his sense of self. he needs to be exorcised, killed, or listen to an emotional shounen friendship speech to recover. ☆ possession???? I guess he can possess people and lend them his skills and strengths. obviously this is something that would require player permission.
The second part is what I'm wobbly hands about regaining. Some of those abilities are like... pretty insignificant/niche (sakura fubuki, vague sword/spirit sense) or aren't particularly beneficial to him despite being important (sword connection/ability to bad end...).
Meanwhile, other things the increased strength/endurance and ability to possess people are a lot more substantial.
I feel like some of these could probably be bundled together but I'm not sure how to divide them. Or maybe I should just shoot for the 400 shard bundle and save everyone the headache tbh.
Better if I ask first. Flonne like to wish for a prinny, they are about a lion size. They are classified as monsters with a human soul inside. Prinnys were once human who committed a sin in their life before they died, hence they are a Prinny in the afterlife. To atone for their sin, Prinnys work as vassals until they get enough hours or saved enough currency to pay it off. My question is, will Flonne be able to wish for a Prinny?
If so, any conditions? They are pretty verbal but they don't talk about their life as a human. If asked what crime they committed, they may answer.
Hey there! So in the FAQ, it says that the elemental powers from the potions start out weak and can be powered up as a regain. I don't see said upgrade listed as any of the examples, so it's left me wondering - would it priced 150 like special abilities or differently?
Hello, Aurora would like to start up a community garden for the entire town to have available for like, fruits, vegetables, etc. how many shards would that require?
NO let me clarify. In his previous game, Mettaton had the ability to fully shapeshift at will as a Puca, including partial shifts- though he could not shapeshift into anything too large, like beyond an elephant. This meant that he could simply partial-shift any specific anatomy he wanted into being. His sex life: flourishing.
1. Would he be able to regain this power back? If so, which category would this fall under? If he cannot "regain" it, is shapeshifting like this a new unique power he could wish for?
1.5. I assume that if this shapeshifting power is not allowed (since it runs pretty close to what the gold potion offers), that wishing for a specific anatomical change like this would fall under the 500-shard "permanent change to body" category? (wishing for DICK for 500 pls, mr vaeros) It'd be an odd permanent alteration, but... He's a robot, he could make it work.
2. Mettaton would also like to wish for "tactile sensation comparable to a human's," which he presently lacks. Would this be in the 500 shard category, as a bodily modification? Or would it be included as part of any other wish he makes in this same vein? (Basically would I be looking at 1000 shards for bodily modification (dick) and bodily modification (sensation)?)
On another slightly-related note, for clarification: I am a bit confused by the 500 shard bit about wishing for something to happen to another character. Does that mean that all wishes that affect another character would require 500 shards, or character A wish for character B to regain their singular power to, say, see souls for 150 shards?
now in the right place, god

Hello mods! I have some questions regarding how much it would cost to regain a character's powers from RWBY, given how they function, and how many powers it would count as. This is long, sorry about that lmao
So, characters from RWBY have an Aura. It's essentially their soul, and it's a source of energy. You can think of it like an stamina bar, with limited use before it runs out and has to take time to recharge. This Aura can be used to do a few different things:
1. Be projected as a shield that covers the body to deflect big hits (can do this maybe four or five times before the Aura breaks/runs out and the user is then susceptible to serious injury) 2. Heal small wounds such as minor cuts and bruises 3. Fuel a Semblance
A Semblance is essentially a personal superpower. Blake's Semblance means she can produce very short-lived shadow clones of herself, which can take hits, distract the enemy, and push her in a direction of her choosing. (See this video from 2:45 to 3:00 for an example of it in action!). As it's fueled by Aura, it can only be used when the user still has Aura energy left.
How many powers would this count as? One, with everything included, or two, with Aura defense/healing as one, and the Semblance as a second one?
Also! Blake is a cat Faunus, which means she has some animal physiology, with increased hearing and night vision. I've obviously taken those away as part of her arrival -- would getting those back count as one, or two powers?
Hi! I'm not planning on getting these all at once, but I'm asking all at once, for efficiency because they're sci-fi but I'm not 100% sure where to slot them. Prices for these please :D
1. Futuristic body armor. A flexible lightweight vest that fits under her clothes and will protect her from bullets, energy weapons, and stabby things, leaving her bruised but alive! It's only a vest though, not a full outfit.
2. Her 'slate computer' which is essentially like a mini laptop with a solar power option - but it has her files from home including some music and holovids (3D holographic TV shows, interactive star charts, etc.)
3. Futuristic first aid kit, with the notable sci-fi elements being 'patches' to put over serious wounds, which don't heal but will keep a person alive until medical help arrives, and a regenerator which heals scar tissue.
4. A small shuttlecraft - big enough for her and a few passengers, and I'm guessing she'd be able to fly it around in atmosphere but not actually take it up into outer space (or over the labyrinth)!
Edit: bonus annoying business question. Ari, being an unrepentant capitalist, has had the bright idea of buying existing businesses (small market stalls) and letting them continue to run under her company name while she takes a cut of the profits and saves up for more.
Is this possible? It's totally fine if it's not something you want happening in the game - if so I'll just say she tried but the locals wouldn't sell to an outsider. If it is possible, would the cost of a business license per stall cover it? I could write them up as businesses, with NPCs to run them.
Right, so... I have a question about Vex getting Trinket back. He's considered a large animal in D&D but he's not magical. He's literally a bear cub she raised to fight beside her. He has armor, but his attacks are swipes and bites. The only real magic involved is if he were to come in Raven's Slumber, which is sort of like a pokeball as a necklace for a ranger's companion. How much for just Trinket and for Raven's Slumber with Trinket in it?
Just a couple of questions as I try to plan out how I want to split up shards! Regarding the abilities characters received from the potion they drank, how many shards would it take to max upgrade that ability versus shards to upgrade slowly?
Also, at some point I would like to try to regain Willow’s Palisman. Among other abilities, Palismen are able to shift from a wooden staff form to a sentient moving creature form, as well as allow their user to fly while in staff form. Would the Palisman count as a magical item, and therefore the shifting between its forms count as a weak enchantment, so I’d have to upgrade its ability for flight? Or would it count as a magical creature, and the shifting and flight just be part of its magical abilities?
Edited (Had a better way to word the question ) 2023-07-03 20:31 (UTC)
Hi mods! I have some ideas for a novelty/“magic” bookshop (Business Licence) that I’d like to run by you:
1) While the main business is selling novelty stationery & wizarding accessories (like crystals and wands. and bat guano.), I’d like it to also have a side room for something like a workshop classroom or an attached cafe. Would that require a second business license or other additional cost?
2) Is there any extra cost to adding minor magical effects to the store? Specifically I’m thinking brooms within the store start sweeping automagically, but lose that enchantment if held or brought out of the store, or the lights turn on/off on their own every shift: so these effects would be localised to the store only and characters should not be able to take advantage of them. (This is mostly intended for shop ambiance, and also to let Jimothy the kookaburra "run" the store without having to do anything.)
3) Is it possible to have new business locations be near/next to established NPC-run ones? I'd like to have the new shop spring up next to the Raven's Quill, but I understand if that's not possible.
4) Not a question, but in case this is an issue: An example of the “wizarding accessories” I have in mind might be a wand that can be used to cast spells if a buyer has already regained magic / drank their potion, but cannot do anything the buyer has not regained through Rewards. If a character has 0 magic then the wand’s just a stick that maybe lights up from a battery-powered LED. Hope this makes sense and doesn’t clash with the Rewards system- let me know if there are any issues with this!
Thank you, and sorry for all these questions! :P
Edited (thought of one more question, sorry) 2023-07-21 08:56 (UTC)
Would it be possible for someone to try and get a business they once owned in a different game, if they had the license for it beforehand (or at the same time)?
1) The 3D Maneuver Gear (3DMG) that Levi and Erwin use isn't magical in nature and it's not really technologically advanced compared to things like lightsabers or other weapons (it's a wacky amalgamation of gas canisters for propulsion, grappling hooks, and blades about the length of a short sword), so I'm just curious what reward category it would fall under?
2) For Levi specifically, I've nerfed his inherent/inherited power that effectively gives him enhanced strength/agility/speed over normal people, but that's pretty much all it does. Would this count as an "umbrella" ability, so to regain it all would be at the 150 shard level?
3) For clarification on the healing abilities from the potion - how many shards would it cost to upgrade this ability fully? 3a) Would full healing allow the healer to be able to regenerate limbs lost recently in canon but prior to arrival here? (I'm assuming the answer is no considering the option to request physical changes from Vaeros, but Levi doesn't need to know that right away)
How do you handle the one time inferna bonus if someone already used it when the bonus was 5 shards, not 200? Do they lose that bonus or can they reuse the old death thread or kill off their character again to get the new bonus?
